CLOSELY KNOWING BETOK FISH

Betok or sometimes called Betik fish is a freshwater fish that we often encounter, and are often lured by children and adults. In English it is called "Climbing Perch"

This fish has several interesting facts as well as being a source of protein which contains several nutrients for the community, especially rural communities.

FYI, Betok fish have also been found as far as Papua New Guinea, in 2005 this fish was also found on a small island called Saibai Island, Australia.

It is suspected why the parrot fish can stray into a new, far away area, because this fish sneaks a ride into the fishing boat.
