There are two race cats named based on the color of their fur. The one with a bluish-gray color is called "Busok" and the one with a brownish color like cinnamon is called "Amethyst".

On Raas Island, this cat is highly protected by Raas residents, and there is a myth that is believed by local residents, namely if you take this cat outside Raas Island, especially unmarried people, you will get bad luck and disaster.

In the 1990s, the Raas cat was used as a souvenir for special guests who came to Madura Island, especially those visiting Raas Island.

In 2016, this cat race is considered very rare, because it is estimated that there are only less than 100 of them that have pure genes.

In order to maintain the purity of the Raas cat, when they leave Raas Island they will be neutered/sterilized first. In addition, the lack of effort in this Cat Race Inbreeding. That's what causes it to be Rare.
