Then, this animal has a long brown tail covered with scales, and the tip of the tail has hair like a brush.
The habitat of this animal can be found in lowland forests, mangrove forests, and highlands at an altitude of 1159 meters above sea level. Just like other Porcupine hedgehogs, this animal feeds mainly on fruit, tubers, leaves, roots, and bark, and the cambium layer of trees. And includes nocturnal animals.
However, these animals also sometimes eat insects and larvae.
This animal also has wide claws, which allows this animal to be a good tree climber when looking for food.
The unique fact is that this animal has a hobby of hoarding food and seeds, so that its habit is beneficial in its role in maintaining the balance of nature, namely as a seed dispersal.
In addition, the habit of eating tree roots until the tree dies, can create new habitats for some bird species to forage for food or build nests.

For the distribution of his life, this animal can be found in Brunei, Malaysia, and Indonesia. In Indonesia alone, this animal can be found in Sumatra and Kalimantan.
