Crustaceans are a subphylum of Arthropoda, whose group consists of approximately 52,000 species.

Well, usually crustaceans that we know are animals that usually live in fresh water and sea water (although there are crab species that live on land too). such as Lobster, Crab, Shrimp, Crayfish, and Barnacles.

The distinctive feature of the body of crustaceans is that the head and chest are directly fused. Then the stomach is segmented - segments.

And the crustaceans themselves on the head of the chest have hard skin, namely the carapace. 5 pairs of legs, namely four pairs of legs for traveling, uh, for walking, I mean, and a pair of claws for taking food or protecting oneself.

Bro, what's the difference between Lobster and Shrimp?

Yupps, it looks almost the same at first glance, friends, but actually there is a striking difference between the two.

The difference is, Lobster has a Carapace (external skeleton) which is tougher than Shrimp.

Then, for the way of life, the shrimp prefer to float or swim in the water with their smooth feet, rather than the lobster who only likes to walk on the bottom of the water. Even so, both of them can move with the term "caridoid escape reaction" which is to move quickly when they want to avoid debt collectors, oops sorry, I mean Predator , by bending the tail and then being knocked out.

And, as we know, that there is no creature created by God that is only in vain. Shrimp also have an important role in maintaining the balance of the Ecosystem.

Apart from being a source of food for other animals, shrimp is also a cleaning service for waters. Because shrimp eat algae, parasites, carrion, and organic waste in the waters.

Yes, they are similar, like cockroaches, the only difference is that shrimp live in water, while cockroaches live on land.

Well, the difference is besides Prawn has a larger body size and can't bend as flexibly as a shirmp whose body is flexible.

In addition, Prawns have forked gills, as well as longer forelegs and claws on three pairs of legs. Then, the rear clamp is also larger than the front.

While shrimp have a smooth flat gill structure, and alternating layers, and shorter forelegs with larger forelegs.
